Finding God in A Busy Schedule

Sometimes I just wanna pull back the hands on a clock, and hope it gives me more hours in a day. Have you ever imagined this?

The good news is if I'm in my kitchen, and I grab the clock on the wall and set it back 20 minutes – I will gain 20 minutes. Seriously, I'm not kidding.

My roommate Sammy enjoys his clock to be ahead of schedule. I’ve tried setting the clock back but every time he fixes it to his desired time. I have given up on the battle, but only because my IPhone is usually right next to me, and it holds the precise time all year long.

Finding time for God has been a struggle in my life.

I used to pray and read my bible everyday before I went to school. Last year I was in community college. Community college days made it easier, less homework and more time for God.

Today I have work, school and now I intern for Osprey TV.

After a while I got caught up in class work. Some days the most I would read was the daily verse tweet on Twitter.

One day I was reading the feed, and I read this verse...
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. - 2 Timothy 3:16 - New Living Translation
This made me realize that I need to set time aside to read the Bible, no matter how busy I am. I decided to read the bible at night after I get home from work.

Reading is one way to relax the body, and is a good aid to remedy restlessness. Which makes reading it right before I go to bed a good thing - especially if I decided to splurge, and eat a late night treat.

  1. I am glad that you've finally set time in talking with God and reading the best book which is the Bible. Being busy and tired with something causes us to forget reading His word and even talking with Him intimately. Yet, as Christians we have to be careful for such. So, we must be focused reaching our goal. Our goal is to please the King!!!I did appreciate your big heart for the Lord!!!God bless you!!
